Terms of Service
Clatter, by Eibo Games · Last updated 20 September 2026
Clatter is free to play. It is funded by rewarded clips you choose to watch and by optional purchases you never need to make.
It is intended for players aged 13 and over. Progress is kept on your device, and also in the cloud if you sign in with Google Play Games.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Eibo Games ("we", "our", "us") covering your use of Clatter (the "App"). Installing or using the App means you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the App.
1. Who may play
The App is intended for players aged 13 or over. By using it you confirm you are at least 13, or old enough to enter a binding contract where you live, and that you have a parent or guardian's permission if it is required.
In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland the age of digital consent is set by each country and falls between 13 and 16. Below that age where you live, you may use the App only with a parent or guardian's permission. They accept these Terms on your behalf and make the privacy choices described in the Privacy Policy.
2. Your licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial entertainment. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
3. What you may not do
- Copy, sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute the App
- Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble it, except where that right cannot lawfully be restricted
- Modify it or create derivative works from it
- Remove or obscure any copyright, trademark or other notice
- Use cheats, automation, modified clients or exploits, or interfere with the delivery of advertising
- Reach a leaderboard by any means other than playing
- Choose a display name that impersonates somebody, advertises something, or is obscene, hateful or unlawful
- Use the App in any way that breaks applicable law
4. Advertising
Advertising appears in one form only: rewarded video that you start yourself, in exchange for something in the game. Declining never blocks progress, no advertisement is placed between levels, and none plays when you lose.
Ads are delivered by a third-party network. We do not create them, do not control their content, and their appearance is not an endorsement. Tell us about a bad one and we will pass it on.
Where required by law the App asks for your consent to personalised advertising before showing it, and you can change that choice at any time in Settings.
5. Purchases
The App offers optional in-app purchases through Google Play Billing. These include packs of bolts, a starter kit, a one-off permanent upgrade that doubles every bolt payout, and cosmetic marbles and rails.
- Prices are shown in the App before you buy, in your local currency where Google supports it.
- Payment is taken by Google, not by us. We never see your card or payment details.
- Consumable items such as bolts are delivered to your account as soon as the purchase is confirmed, and are used up as you spend them.
- Permanent items such as the double-bolts upgrade and cosmetics are tied to your Google account and can be restored on another device.
- Nothing that can be bought is required to finish a level, and nothing that can be bought lets you skip one.
Refunds are handled by Google under the Google Play refund policy and the law where you live. Ask Google first. If something in the App failed to deliver after a successful payment, write to us and we will make it right.
6. Virtual items
Bolts, rewinds, hints, marbles, rails and every other in-game item are licensed to you for use inside the App. They are not your property, have no monetary value, and cannot be transferred, sold, exchanged for money or redeemed for anything outside the App.
We may rebalance prices, payouts and the contents of the shop as the game changes. We may remove items obtained through error, fraud or exploitation. If we discontinue an item you paid real money for, we will replace it with something of comparable value in the game.
7. Your progress
Progress is stored on your device. If you sign in with Google Play Games it is also saved to a Unity Gaming Services account tied to that sign-in, and restored when you sign in on another device.
If you never sign in, we hold no copy at all. Uninstalling the App, clearing its data, or losing the device erases your progress permanently and we cannot restore it. When two saves meet, the game keeps the further one — the higher level, the larger totals — so signing in on a new device does not lose ground.
8. Leaderboards and names
Scores are submitted to online leaderboards along with the display name you have chosen. That name is visible to other players. The game invents one for you; the first change is free and later changes cost bolts.
We may remove or rename entries we reasonably believe were obtained by cheating, automation or exploitation, or that carry a name breaking section 3. We may reset a board at any time.
9. Intellectual property
The App — its code, artwork, boards, text, sound and design — belongs to Eibo Games and is protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. These Terms license it to you; they transfer no ownership.
10. Availability and updates
We may update, change, suspend or discontinue the App or any part of it at any time. The App may require a minimum version to keep playing after an update. We do not guarantee it will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free or compatible with every device.
11. Ending the licence
This licence ends automatically if you breach these Terms. We may suspend or end access where we reasonably believe the App is being used fraudulently or unlawfully. You may end it at any time by uninstalling the App, and you can delete your account and its save from the data deletion page.
12. Disclaimer
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Eibo Games is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, nor for lost data or progress, arising from your use of the App. Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total liability is limited to the greater of ten US dollars or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to conflict of law rules, and the courts of Dubai have jurisdiction. This does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in your country of residence, or of the right to bring proceedings there.
15. Changes and contact
We may revise these Terms. The revised version is posted here with a new date, and material changes take effect for versions of the App released afterwards. Continuing to play means you accept them.
