We usually reply within two days. Tell us your device model, your Android version, and the level or mode you were on. If it is a bug, say what you expected to happen and what happened instead. That is normally enough to reproduce it straight away.
Playing the game
How do I steer a ball?
You do not steer the ball, you set the track. Tap a switch to change which way it sends its rail, and tap it before the ball gets there.
A switch locks the moment a ball starts crossing it. Tapping a locked switch just shakes it. All of the thinking happens in the gap between balls, and the long run-in before the first switch is your planning time.
Which bin does a ball belong in?
The one wearing its colour. A white ball with a star is wild and counts anywhere. A dye rail repaints whatever you send down it, so a ball that starts one colour can arrive as another — useful when the bin you need is out of reach.
Bins can carry colours that no ball in the level needs. Those are decoys.
What is the chevron on some balls?
It marks a fast ball. It runs at normal speed until it clears its first switch, then speeds up, and it is worth more when it lands correctly.
I sent one to the wrong bin.
Use a Rewind. It plays the last five seconds backwards, every ball running in reverse, gives the lost life back and counts you in again exactly where you were.
You start with three. More arrive on the daily streak ladder, and they can be bought with bolts or refilled by watching a clip when you run out.
What does a Hint do?
It rings any switch that is currently pointing the wrong way for the ball heading towards it, and it stays on for the whole level. It shows you what is coming; it never taps anything for you. The first two levels do this for free because that is the tutorial.
Why did I lose a life in Shuffle?
That mode rotates the bin colours while balls are still falling. A ball that has already passed its last switch is committed and cannot be saved. Sorting the ones still above a switch is the skill the mode is asking for.
Progress, bolts and purchases
How do I keep my progress safe?
Sign in with Google Play Games, from the Profile screen. Your level, stars, bolts, tools, streak and cosmetics are then saved to your account and restored whenever you sign in on another device.
Without signing in, everything lives on that one device only. Uninstalling the game or clearing its data erases it, and we have no copy to restore.
I moved to a new phone and my progress is gone.
If you were signed in, install the game, open the Profile screen and sign in with the same Google account. The save is pulled down and merged, keeping the further of the two — the higher level and the larger totals.
If you were never signed in, there is nothing to recover. We are sorry; it was never sent to us.
What are bolts for?
Bolts are the only currency. You earn them by sorting balls and clearing levels, and spend them on rewinds and hints, or on a new display name after the first free change.
Replaying a level you have already cleared pays a capped amount each day, so there is nothing to gain by grinding one board.
I bought something and it did not arrive.
Open the shop again — a purchase that was paid for but not delivered is claimed the next time the shop connects. If it still has not appeared, email us with the Google Play order number and we will sort it out.
Refunds are handled by Google under the Google Play refund policy.
Do I have to buy anything?
No. Nothing in the shop is needed to finish a level and nothing in it skips one. Bolt packs and the double-bolts upgrade save time; the marbles and rails are cosmetic.
How does the daily streak work?
Clear the daily board and your streak goes up by one. Miss a day and it goes back to the start. The ladder runs fifteen days and pays rewinds, hints and bolts along the way, with the largest payout on the last rung. You can switch on one evening reminder so it does not get away from you.
Ads, data and privacy
Will an ad interrupt my run?
No. Every clip in Clatter is one you asked for — refilling a tool, reviving once in a level, doubling an endless score, or taking bolts in the shop. There are no banners, nothing between levels, and nothing when you lose.
Can I turn off personalised ads?
Yes. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland a consent screen appears the first time you play, and you can reopen it from Settings under "Ads preferences". Anywhere else, reset or delete your advertising ID in Android Settings, then Privacy, then Ads.
Clips remain available either way; refusing only makes them less relevant.
What does the game collect?
Advertising and analytics identifiers, how you interact with the game, the account id behind your save, and the display name you pick for the leaderboard. The Privacy Policy lists every item and who receives it.
How do I delete my data?
The data deletion page walks through it: clearing what is on the device, deleting your account and its cloud save, and resetting the advertising identifier.
Can I change the name on the leaderboard?
Yes, from the Profile screen. The first change is free; later ones cost bolts. Keep it clean — names that impersonate someone, advertise something, or are obscene can be removed.
