One panda per patch.
A grid split into coloured patches. Place one panda in every row, every column and every patch, and never let two of them touch. Every board has exactly one answer, and you never have to guess your way to it.

You learn the whole game in about fifteen seconds, then spend the rest of it thinking.
Every coloured patch holds exactly one panda — no more, no fewer.
Every row and every column holds exactly one panda too.
No two pandas may sit side by side, and not corner to corner either.
The rules are simple. Keeping them honest is the hard part, and that is where the work went.
Every board is tested when it is made. It must have exactly one answer, and that answer must be reachable by reasoning alone. Boards that would need a guess are thrown away before you ever see them.
Ask for help and the board dims around the one square that can be proved — then tells you in plain words why it has to be that one. You learn the technique instead of being handed the answer.
No countdown clocks. Three shoots per board, and a tap can only ever mark a square — placing a panda takes a deliberate double tap, so a slip never costs you one.
Each board is graded by a solver limited to human techniques, counting the work it actually takes. The curve you feel is measured, not guessed at.
Warm, quiet, and out of your way.
Keep playing and the rest of the family turns up.

Tap a square once to mark it with a cross — your own note that no panda can sit there. It costs nothing. Tap twice quickly to place a panda. A slow second tap just clears the cross, so a stray tap can never cost you a shoot.
Yes. A board only ships if it has exactly one answer and a solver restricted to human techniques can reach it. Anything else is discarded during generation.
